Uganda contained an outbreak of the Marburg virus, national health officials said on Friday,

The outbreak, which began Oct. 19, killed three people. There were no confirmed deaths in the last 42 cases said junior health minister Sarah Achieng.

The first victim was a hunter who traveled through an area with caves that are home to the African fruit bat, the known reservoir host of Marburg.
